Senior Travel Consultant
About The Position
As a Senior Travel Consultant, you are the face of BCD, communicating with and responding to requests from current and prospective clients to help them travel smart and achieve more. You will search for and confirm travel reservations, advise customers on client travel policies, and provide information about travel regulations, fares, exchange costs, and penalties. You will also look for opportunities to improve operational processes and client relationships, while maintaining and expanding your knowledge of the travel industries supported. This is a full-time remote position in the United States. Work schedules require flexibility and may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts based on business needs.
Requirements
- Extensive travel agent experience.
- Working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Advanced skills in GDS Sabre.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Search and confirm travel reservations for customers.
- Understand client travel policies and consistently provide consultation to customers.
- Fulfill requests related to travel regulations, including DOT, TSA, passports, and visas.
- Provide clients with industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties.
- Review operational processes and commercial relationships with clients and suggest improvements.
- Maintain, communicate, and expand knowledge of the travel industries supported.
