About The Position

Building on WRA’s outstanding reputation in the western and central Pennsylvania transportation industry, we are currently seeking a senior professional to lead the firm’s strategic transportation initiatives within the eastern Pennsylvania market. This position will play a vital role in expanding our presence in eastern Pennsylvania, hiring and mentoring staff, and helping guide the overall direction of our growth and expansion in eastern Pennsylvania as well as supporting growth throughout the company. The candidate will be part of our Pennsylvania leadership team which collaborates on project pursuits and delivery throughout the state. The successful candidate must be energetic and be able to mentor and lead teams. In addition, they must have a demonstrated ability to pursue and manage transportation projects with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation particularly PennDOT District’s 5-0 and 6-0 as well as the City of Philadelphia and other municipalities, counties, and regional planning organizations. The successful candidate should possess strong business development skills while working collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams throughout Pennsylvania and the rest of the company. Leadership responsibilities include operating with integrity and sound business principles, providing practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing the eastern Pennsylvania transportation practice. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in the transportation industry leading multi-disciplined experts
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or ability to become licensed within 6 months through comity from another state
  • Demonstrated experience leading transportation contracts in PA
  • Excellent reputation as a transportation professional
  • Strong knowledge of PennDOT Policies and Procedures
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work with others
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
