About The Position

Parametrix is seeking a Senior Transit Engineer to join their Oregon/Idaho team within the Transportation division. This role will focus on leading transit engineering for large, complex projects across the region. The position is based in Vancouver, Washington, or Portland, Oregon. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 15+ years of experience in transit or transportation engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (Oregon and/or Idaho)
• Experience delivering transit elements within large infrastructure or corridor projects (BRT, LRT, or multimodal improvements)

Responsibilities

• Lead transit engineering scope on large, complex, and multi-disciplinary transportation projects across Oregon and Idaho
• Serve as the technical authority for transit planning and design, including corridor studies, multimodal integration, and operational considerations
• Oversee development of transit-related deliverables ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with internal disciplines and external partners to integrate transit solutions into broader infrastructure programs
• Support business development through technical input on pursuits, scoping, and client engagement for regional transit opportunities
