About The Position

The Senior Trainer helps ensure associates are proficient and successful in delivering exceptional automotive-industry service. The role facilitates in-person and virtual training, focusing on operational and/or leadership courses for associate- and manager-level roles. The trainer delivers engaging modules aligned with the company’s vision to “Be America’s best place to buy and service cars and trucks,” with periodic travel to learning hubs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or business administration, or relative work experience.
• Proven experience delivering training sessions.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in virtual training platforms and multimedia tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and Workday Learning.
• Willingness to travel periodically up to 50%.

• Experience delivering training within the automotive industry.
• Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
• Ability to adapt training content for diverse learning styles and skill levels.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a training environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate interactive in-person training sessions at designated learning hubs.
• Conduct virtual training sessions for remote associates using appropriate platforms.
• Deliver operational courses on automotive sales and service, including product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures.
• Assess associate performance and comprehension through methods such as quizzes, role-plays, and simulations.
• Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support associates’ continuous improvement and development.
• Collaborate with managers of training, learning and development teams, instructional design teams, and operational leaders to align training initiatives with business objectives.
• Communicate with associates, learning hub staff, and stakeholders to coordinate training activities.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for on-site training at different learning hubs.
• Manage training logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, and venue coordination.
