WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager to join their growing North Carolina Traffic practice. This role will be instrumental in expanding the Traffic Engineering services, which include analysis, feasibility studies, modeling, and traffic studies. The North Carolina group handles a diverse range of projects for clients across the state, such as corridor studies, complex roadway projects, greenways, and transit initiatives. This position offers a significant opportunity to develop analysis and production skills, and to build professional relationships within WSP and with a wide array of clients. The role involves providing advanced technical assistance and guidance on the operation of streets and highways, their networks, adjacent land uses, and their interaction with other transportation modes and terminals. Key tasks include performing capacity analyses, reviewing permits, collaborating with civil design teams, concept development, and contributing to the construction of roadways, traffic patterns, and providing recommendations for roadway and traffic design. The position also requires substantiating reports and documentation to advise on materials and construction specifications, ensuring that all responsibilities are met with a high standard of quality that aligns with or surpasses industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
