WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager for its growing North Carolina Traffic practice. This role can be based in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC, with a hybrid work schedule. The position is crucial for expanding the Traffic Engineering practice, focusing on analysis, feasibility, modeling, and traffic studies. The North Carolina group works on diverse projects including corridor studies, complex roadway projects, greenways, and transit for clients across the state. This is an opportunity to develop analysis and production skills and build relationships within WSP and with clients. The role involves providing high-level technical guidance for street and highway operations, their networks, adjacent land uses, and interactions with other transportation modes. Tasks include capacity analyses, permit reviews, collaboration with civil design teams, concept development, and construction of roadways and traffic patterns, with recommendations for roadway and traffic design. The position requires substantiating reports and documentation for materials and construction specifications, ensuring quality that meets or exceeds industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
