About The Position

ISG is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join its Transportation team. The role can be based in any ISG office and is designed as an in-office position to support collaboration, mentorship, and connection across offices. The engineer will lead traffic engineering projects for state departments of transportation, city, and private-sector clients, including evaluating travel demand management and how land-use strategies can help address traffic challenges. The role works closely with the Transportation Business Unit Leader and a Transportation Engineer.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Collect traffic data, evaluate intersections, complete traffic and corridor studies, and perform analyses using simulation and modeling software.
• Lead traffic-related design projects, including traffic signal and roundabout plans, roadway lighting plans, signing and striping plans, and construction staging and traffic control plans.
• Prepare preliminary and final designs and develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Build and strengthen client relationships by listening to clients and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectations.
• Serve as an organizational technical resource by providing expertise and guidance on transportation projects.
• Mentor and lead local internal ISGers while demonstrating a high degree of professionalism.
• Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational success.
