About The Position

We are looking for someone who is fired up by our mission and ready to build. You’ll thrive here if you adapt quickly, take ownership, and care about the details. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards spanning both exempt and non-exempt roles
  • Proficiency with comp benchmarking tools (Pave, Radford, Mercer, or similar) and HRIS platforms (Rippling, Gusto, or similar)
  • Experience with equity compensation design, including ISOs, NSOs, RSUs
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear policies, comp strategies, and exception frameworks
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proficiency at leveraging modern AI tools to improve efficiency and increase quality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scaling total rewards at a fast-growing startup
  • Background in EV, hardware, aerospace, or defense companies
  • Passion for getting compensation right as a lever for retention and culture, not just compliance
  • Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
  • Enthusiasm for boating and the water

Responsibilities

  • Owning Arc's compensation philosophy, salary bands, and equity strategy across manufacturing, engineering, and administrative roles
  • Running annual and off-cycle compensation planning, including bonus cycles, promotions, incentive comp, rewards, and equity refreshes
  • Benchmarking pay using compensation data sets to keep us competitive in the market while balancing business pragmatism
  • Designing and administering benefits programs, including health, 401(k), leave, wellness, and Arc-specific perks
  • Building the systems, processes, and documentation to scale total rewards from today’s 200-person crew to 500+ without losing rigor
  • Partnering with Recruiting on offers, leveling, and candidate-facing comp narratives
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and California pay transparency, equal pay, and benefits regulations

Benefits

  • Equity in Arc
  • 99% employer-paid health coverage – Medical, dental, and vision
  • Arc Water Fund – Annual stipend to get out on the water, however you choose
  • Captain Training – Get certified to take the boat out with friends and family

  • A chance to define the future of boating
  • The ability to drive positive environmental change through your work
