About The Position

US Conec is seeking a skilled Senior Tooling Engineer to join our Fort Worth team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for new Injection Mold development from Part DFM through production approval. You will work closely with our mold making suppliers to deliver robust molds that consistently produce quality parts. This position is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical engineering backgrounds and hands-on experience in injection molding environments who thrive in fast-paced, precision-driven settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from a four-year ABET accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 yrs experience in the injection molding industry with a focus on mold development
  • Strong organization and communication
  • Detail oriented with the ability to adapt to changes quickly
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with 3D modeling software required: AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Experience performing and interpreting Mold flow analyses (MoldEx 3D, preferred).
  • Familiar with engineering grade resins
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate part Design for Moldability and mold tooling design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones & communicate with key team members, internal customers, and
  • Structures projects with clear well-defined objectives communicated to the supplier.
  • Document requirements and functional specifications to ensure supplier compliance.
  • Records all associated technical documentation including qualification results.
  • Coordinates between internal customers, external suppliers, and supply chain to establish project priority and schedule.
  • Provide weekly status reports of progress in all areas of tooling, qualification scheduling, tool transfers, and tool repair status.
  • Plan, coordinate and attend all FAT activities on-site at suppliers
  • Provide evaluation of testing results and direct all functional, dimension and visual correction and/or improvements
  • Manage all internal Mold testing and qualification tasks
  • Deliver comprehensive mold documentation to facilitate a seamless hand-off to production molding and operations teams.
