At Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), we are driven by a vision to transform patients' lives through science. Our mission is to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to help patients prevail over serious diseases in areas like oncology, hematology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease. We offer a diverse and promising pipeline, and our passionate colleagues contribute to innovations that drive meaningful change. This role is critical in executing BMS's aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. The primary role of the Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients. The TAS engages HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue, consistent with the product label, and leveraging new ways of working. This role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical group practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact. The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role prioritizes the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives, exemplifying BMS values. The TAS role is field-based, with a significant portion of time spent in the field with external customers.
