This role is a critical part of our unique customer model, aiming to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving the adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. The primary responsibility of the Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for appropriate patients. The TAS will engage HCPs with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue, consistent with the product label, and leveraging new ways of working. This role involves building and maintaining strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs, including private practices, medical group practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum, serving as their primary point of contact. The TAS will collaborate with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. The role prioritizes the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while focusing on overall business results, performance objectives, and exemplifying BMS values. This is a field-based role, with the TAS expected to spend a significant amount of time engaging with external customers in the field.
