About The Position

The Test Solutions organization within RTX drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across product lines and functions. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Test Systems Senior Execution Lead located onsite in Tucson, AZ. The Test Solutions organization within RTX delivers critical engineering services that accelerate program success and ensure product readiness across multiple mission areas. We are seeking a Senior Execution Lead to drive the technical execution of production test system design, development, integration, and sell‑off activities. This experienced individual contributor will operate with autonomy, applying judgment, technical expertise, and cross‑functional leadership to ensure execution excellence across moderately complex work packages.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting Program Management, preferred; leading Test Systems Development efforts (hardware/software development, integration, Verification & Validation (V&V)).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) fundamentals, Integrated Master Schedule / Integrated Master Plan (IMS/IMP) alignment, Risks & Opportunities (R&O) management, and the test system lifecycle, OR similar program management and execution frameworks applied in software, industrial, or complex system development.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Strong influential communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present analytic and performance results from program to executive and/or functional leadership.
  • Experience in large program execution.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Research/Development, Capital, engineering development, transition to production, production, and maintenance.
  • Experience with proposal capture and contract processes from receipt of Requests for Proposal (RFP), preparing Basis of Estimates (BOE), proposal submittal, preparing Statements of Work (SOW), contract startup and contract close-out.
  • Experience with all the functionalities of Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT).
  • Agile Methodologies understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead cross‑functional engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and systems in executing the full test‑system lifecycle (design, development, integration, sell‑off).
  • Manage day‑to‑day technical execution of assigned work packages, ensuring clear tasking, issue escalation, scope adherence, and alignment to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Drive timely visibility of technical, schedule, and integration risks; conduct 30/60/90‑day look‑ahead reviews and maintain tight execution cadence.
  • Provide accurate execution status, staffing forecasts, supplier updates, risk and issue reporting, and other data essential to Control Account Manager (CAM) cost and schedule analysis.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues using scopes, analyzers, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Follow established Test Solutions processes and contribute to continuous improvement of integration workflows and readiness practices.
