About The Position

Noblis supports the FAA in managing large and complex telecommunications and information management programs that utilize state-of-the-art technologies to deliver enterprise infrastructure services. These services are essential for the safe and efficient operation of the world's largest and most complex aviation system. This role is for a Senior Engineer who will provide leadership and interface with senior FAA clients. The position involves generating and publishing test procedures and reports for the integration and verification of FTI with new NAS Equipment, Maintenance and Degraded Operations (MDO) of the NESG and Internal (FNTB OpIP) Programs, equipment replacement due to obsolescence, tech refresh, and interoperability testing of NAS systems. The role also includes defining test strategies, coordinating and performing testing for user connections to the NESG, maintaining a centralized IPSF Database, providing IESP integration and development test support, reviewing ARB documentation, and providing engineering, technical, integration, and test support for SWIM provided SOA services for NAS systems. Security testing, including PEN testing and IRAT, is also a key responsibility, along with creating and maintaining specific tabs in IPSFs for zero-trust mandates and remote access gateways.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of 20 years experience. Equivalency substitutions to be reviewed for client approval: Bachelor's degree and 23 years experience; Associate's degree and 25 years experience
  • Ability to travel to meetings at FAA or vendor facilities around the U.S if required by the role.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs within the FAA.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident with a minimum of three (3) years of U.S. residency.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust

Responsibilities

  • Generate and Publish Test Procedures and Test Reports for the Integration and Verification of FTI with new NAS Equipment, Maintenance and Degraded Operations (MDO) of the NESG and Internal (FNTB OpIP) Programs, Equipment Replacement due to obsolescence, Tech Refresh and interoperability testing of NAS systems.
  • Define Test Strategies, co-ordinate and preform testing for User connections to the NESG, ensuring thorough and complete test coverage.
  • Maintain centralized IPSF Database(repository), by preparing, verifying and auditing IPSFs associated with IP addressing and data flows through the FNTB ESG, troubleshoot after implementation in the FNTB, and provide updated, tested configurations, as a basis for the Operational IPSFs.
  • Provide IESP integration and development test support.
  • Review applicable ARB documentation and support related activities for FTI baseline changes; facilitate the implementation of ARB architecture changes in a consistent manner to assure compliance with policy; review of all CINP ARB documentation.
  • Provide engineering, technical support, and integration and test support for SWIM provided SOA services for NAS systems.
  • Security testing for all systems and services with system owners, PEN testing and IRAT
  • Creating/maintaining ED11 tab in IPSFs to support zero-trust FNTB Internal (FNTB OpIP) mandate.
  • Creating/maintaining Remote Management Access Gateway (RMAG) tab for remote access.
