About The Position

GliaCell is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer on one of our subcontracts. This full-time position involves providing technical expertise to sustain critical mission-related software and systems for a large government contract. The role focuses on delivering a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates microservices for a modernized operational system using cutting-edge technologies. GliaCell Technologies specializes in Software & System Engineering within Enterprise and Cyber Security solutions, utilizing Agile Software Development principles for quick turn-around and integration of industry-standard software stacks. Our enterprise capabilities span Full-Stack Application Development, Big Data, Cloud Technologies, Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, and DevOps Containerization. We also offer solutions in CND, CNE, and CNO, including Threat Mitigation, Vulnerability Exposure, Penetration Testing, Threat Hunting, and Advanced Persistent Threat prevention.

Requirements

  • Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IAS), strong AWS, Python, Ansible, Terraform

Nice To Haves

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including but not limited to EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling.
  • Understanding of AWS networking principles to include VPCs, NATs, IP Gateway.
  • Develop and manage Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
  • Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate

Responsibilities

  • Developing Infrastructure As Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
  • Experience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL.
  • Install, configure, and provide performance tuning utilizing: Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud native logging and metrics collection tools.
  • Managing CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab runners and Argo CD.
  • Managing commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
  • Communication and collaboration: DevOps is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
