Senior Test and Evaluation Specialist
About The Position
Odyssey is seeking an experienced Senior Test and Evaluation Specialist to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Weapons Superiority division (AFLCMC/EBU) at Eglin AFB, Florida. The role supports government planning, development, and execution of test and evaluation activities for weapons systems and associated equipment throughout the acquisition lifecycle. The specialist assesses system performance, verifies requirements, and supports assessment of operational effectiveness, suitability, and survivability through developmental and operational testing. The position is on-site, and travel may be required depending on program needs, approximately 30%.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must hold a current Secret clearance.
- Associate’s degree and 20 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting test and evaluation activities within DoD acquisition programs.
- Experience supporting developmental and/or operational test events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate across engineering, program management, and operational stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Nice To Haves
- DAWIA Level II or III certification in Test and Evaluation, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting AFLCMC or other Air Force acquisition organizations.
- Experience with armament systems, including air-to-air or air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems.
- Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
- Strong knowledge of DoD test and evaluation processes and the DoDI 5000 series.
- Experience developing and reviewing TEMP and other test documentation.
- Experience with test planning, execution, and analysis for DT/OT.
- Knowledge of requirements verification and validation.
- Experience with test data collection and analysis.
- Familiarity with test tools, instrumentation, and data systems.
- Knowledge of risk management and mitigation planning.
- Understanding of system performance evaluation and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support test and evaluation activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, from Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support.
- Develop, review, and coordinate Test and Evaluation documentation, including Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), test plans, test reports, evaluation reports, and Requirements Verification Matrices (RVM).
- Plan and support developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, program management, and operational stakeholders to align test objectives with program requirements.
- Support test event planning, execution, data collection, and analysis.
- Evaluate system performance against requirements, including effectiveness, suitability, and survivability.
- Identify test risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support test readiness reviews and milestone reviews.
- Analyze test data and provide recommendations to improve system performance and program outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver test reports, briefings, and decision support materials to leadership.
