About The Position

Boeing is seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician to join their team in Patuxent River, MD with the MQ-25 Flight Test Program. Extended travel to the St. Louis area and Lakehurst, NJ on Domestic Temporary Assignment will be required. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and documentation of tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes. The technician will also be responsible for designing, fabricating, building, and analyzing test systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies. They will provide consultation on test requirements, methods, and capabilities, and oversee system test preparations, including integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout, and teardown. The role requires conducting complex tests, analyzing data, documenting results, and leading test readiness reviews. Identifying and resolving test anomalies, providing consultation on complex laboratory and test-related problems, and coordinating test laboratory asset management are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the technician will provide Boeing leadership to government agencies, safety, and hazardous materials teams in the event of emergencies, mentor others, and work under consultative direction.

Requirements

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
10+ years of experience interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and definition
10+ years of experience with various types of sensors and instrumentation including strain gages, temperature / pressure measurement, accelerometers, and deflection transducers
Experience inspecting, fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Extensive experience in the installation and check-out of strain gauges, pressure transducers, accelerometers, fuel flow meters, and thermocouple / RTD sensors, etc
Experience troubleshooting signal conditioning equipment and skill setting up numerous sensor types for program requirements
Background mentoring / training lower-level technicians while working under minimal direction
