Solana Beach - Senior Teller
About The Position
Welcome to Mission Fed! We are looking for someone with an infectious personality, a positive attitude, and the willingness to learn to join our team as a Senior Teller. This is a part-time position, requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week. In this role, you will be the first friendly face people see when they walk into the branch, proactively and professionally acknowledging anyone who enters. You will be responsible for accurately processing routine member account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, wire transfers, official checks, gift cards, and cash advances. You will also research and resolve member inquiries and conduct research on member accounts. Additionally, this role requires team members to cross-sell services that would benefit our members and track products and services referred or sold. Maintaining a positive attitude when facing challenges is essential.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months in the retail and/or service industry or 6 months in a financial institution, working in a branch environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong listening, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills required.
- Able to maintain the confidentiality of member information.
Nice To Haves
- Accurate cash handling and proactive sales preferred.
- Ability to actively cross-sell products & services preferred.
Responsibilities
- Proactively and professionally acknowledging anyone who enters the branch.
- Balancing checks and cash drawer.
- Accurately processing routine member account transactions including, but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, wire transfers, official checks, gift cards, cash advances, etc.
- Researching and resolving member inquiries on issues related to their accounts.
- Conducting research on member accounts.
- Cross-selling services that would benefit members.
- Properly tracking products and services referred or sold.
- Maintaining a positive attitude when facing challenges.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of member information.
