About The Position

This SW Technology Program Manager position is part of the Qualcomm Central Program Management team tasked with managing development and delivery of multiple SoC technologies (Boot, USB, PCIe, Buses, Storage, Hypervisor, PMIC, Services, Kernel..) across multiple Business units. The candidate will be responsible for providing classical program management support and leadership including the following core priorities: Scope new products and feature requests as per the deadlines. Create feature delivery plans for new chipsets and drive workshop planning for tech teams. Plan for and drive execution of complex features across multiple teams and locations. Develop execution schedules comprehending staffing needs and interdependencies with other Qualcomm teams and 3rd parties. Manage risks and issues and communicate project status weekly to management. Partner with ecosystem to ensure all dependencies are aligned. Ensure team roadmap is well defined, project priorities are managed across the teams, manage change control, driving synchronization across several development teams. Establish communications process for weekly execution status, manage risk and recovery actions, and close on action items promptly. Manage program indicators to push information to internal customers and management. Partner with other functional areas to establish critical processes to support disciplined product development and decision making and to ensure quality. Coordinate across domestic as well as multiple international development sites.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Project Planning, and SW development lifecycle are required.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks at hand and manage multiple deliveries with tight timelines.
  • Strong communication skills needed in order to collaborate with multiple teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4 years of Program Management or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidate would have 10 years of experience in SW engineering and/or SW program management.
  • 4 years bachelor’s in engineering (Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical)
  • Master's in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
