About The Position

Walmart is expanding its workforce and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports and oversees repair within Walmart facilities' Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills. The technician will use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. The position involves responding to emergency maintenance calls, inspecting and testing facilities and equipment, and completing required training for safe operation. Compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations is essential, following the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and working at heights frequently.

Requirements

10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent
10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
Universal EPA Certification.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
Excellent driving record.
Prior work experience with Glycol and C02 systems.
8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
