Senior Technician, Maintenance - Belvidere, NJ
About The Position
The Senior Technician, Maintenance performs specialized predictive and preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and equipment installation or modification. Work is carried out in accordance with performance measures, cGMP, SOPs, safety and regulatory requirements, and divisional goals. The role performs corrective and preventive work orders throughout the plant and is responsible for equipment such as gearboxes, air locks, pumps, blowers, and conveyors. It also assists with repairs and troubleshooting of piping systems and components. Emergency and call-in support is required, along with adherence to the maintenance work process. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in Belvidere, New Jersey.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to diagnose problems and repair blowers, pumps, air locks, gearboxes, and conveyors.
- Ability to prefabricate and install piping and valves and perform pipe threading.
- Ability to provide emergency and call-in support as required.
Nice To Haves
- Technical school education in a mechanical discipline.
- Pipe welding experience.
- Experience or ability using laser alignment tools.
Responsibilities
- Complete and review work permits with operations personnel before beginning work.
- Ensure lockout-tagout procedures are followed.
- Locate equipment problems and discuss potential causes.
- Recommend practical solutions to technical problems.
- Diagnose and repair blowers, pumps, air locks, gearboxes, and conveyors.
- Perform valve installation, pipe threading, and installation; pipe welding is a plus.
- Repair equipment damage and defects according to technical instructions and discuss the work.
- Provide emergency and call-in support as required.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
