About The Position

As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of Maintenance activities (e.g., PM’s breakdowns, repairs, rebuilding, etc.) to optimize plant equipment and support the production of quality chemical intermediates, energies and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan. Performs specialized predictive and preventive maintenance equipment inspections; troubleshoots, plans and installs and /or modifies plant equipment and related systems in accordance with Key Performance Measure, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety/regulatory requirements, and divisional goals.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting process loop control 4-20mA
  • Knowledge and skill experience to diagnose problems and repair VFD’s, PLC’s, 480V 3 phase motors with associated controls, knowledge of protective devices, breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers, switches, MCC buckets and metrology.
  • Minimum of 4 years maintenance-related experience required.
  • Must be available to work weekends, overtime (including coverage and standby), and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to function/cross train in primary craft.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including but not limited to maintenance of process equipment in shop floor situations.

Responsibilities

  • Fill out and review Permit Cliqs (work permits) in conjunction with operation personnel prior to starting a job.
  • Ensure all lockout - tagout procedures are followed.
  • Locate equipment problem and discuss potential causes.
  • Recommend practical solutions of technical problems.
  • Diagnose problems and repair VFD’s, PLC’s, motors with associated controls, protective devices, breakers, fuses, overloads, relays, conduit & cable, transmitter calibration controllers, switches and metrology.
  • Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation. It includes transmitter flow devices, level controls, and temperature measurement.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, which include but are not limited to, routine calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.
