About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain its facilities and support stores and associates. The role uses multiple craft skills to repair facilities, equipment, and assets, responds to emergency maintenance calls, and documents work in a work order management system. The position requires completing safety training for equipment and tools. The role is based at the listed Walmart location in Visalia, California.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record report.
Meet one of the listed trade-experience alternatives: vocational or technical certification and 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area; or 6 years of experience in one of these areas.
Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Able to move up and down ladders frequently.
Comfortable working at heights frequently.

Nice To Haves

Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment.
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete maintenance jobs.
Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders for stores and store associates and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
