About the position
The successful candidate for this role will be a writer who is curious, loves to learn new technologies, and is a strong team player. They will be responsible for planning and delivering their own content, and will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The main responsibilities of this role include documenting data-driven applications, designing and building effective documentation to support customers, and working closely with engineering and product management to understand product capabilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience documenting enterprise web-based applications and will be skilled in creating technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Document data-driven applications that run on top of the core product platform.
- Plan, design, and build effective documentation to support customers throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Work closely with engineering and product management to understand product capabilities and document function, usage, and limitations.
- Work closely with a diverse and distributed documentation team to learn and follow editorial style standards and review processes.
- Produce high-quality, easily consumable, customer-focused online content, including user documentation and videos targeted at business users and implementers of the product.
- Create end-user and API documentation (release notes, help files, frequently asked questions, quick reference guides, API references, etc.).
- Drive significant content goals using qualitative and quantitative data to measure outcomes.
- Provide estimates for resource and project planning purposes for documentation tasks.
- Request and implement internal and external feedback on documents.
