About The Position

Our client is a leading global Consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile, complex, iconic, large-scale capital projects. We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Technical Specialist, Hydrologic and Hydraulic for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to this landmark project that is poised to deliver transformative impacts across economic, transportation, and environmental sustainability. The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. This is a milestone project that is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history. As the Senior Technical Specialist, Hydrologic and Hydraulic, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of this significant project. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hydraulics and hydrology with proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis tools
  • Design software techniques for drainage systems and stormwater management.
  • Analyze field survey data and integrate into project design.
  • Familiarity with FHWA, USACE, and AASHTO design guidance.
  • NJDEP stormwater management and soil erosion standards.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental compliance and permitting processes.
  • Ability to develop construction cost estimates and track project resources.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze field survey data, maps, drawings, and topographical information for project design.
  • Apply engineering principles to independently execute and coordinate hydrologic and hydraulic design projects.
  • Perform detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of drainage systems and bridge/culvert studies, including tracking project efforts and managing resources.
  • Validate hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations for stormwater management and bridge hydraulic studies.
  • Collaborate with design teams on environmental compliance efforts an assist with permit applications.
  • Develop construction cost estimates for projects.
  • Contribute to proposal management including SOQs and RFPs.
