The Talent team at 1X is responsible for building the organization that will create the future of humanoid robotics. They partner with leaders across various departments to identify, attract, and hire exceptional talent capable of tackling difficult technical and operational challenges. The team operates with urgency, high standards, and deep partnership to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time, playing a critical role in 1X's ability to scale and maintain its mission, culture, and technical bar. As a Senior Software Engineering Recruiter, you will be instrumental in building the software organization that powers NEO's intelligence, autonomy, controls, infrastructure, and platform technologies. You will collaborate closely with engineering leaders to find, engage, and hire top software talent across full-stack, embedded, firmware, systems, and infrastructure domains, ensuring that 1X consistently raises its hiring standards.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience recruiting software engineering talent in fast-paced, high-growth, or technically demanding environments.
  • Demonstrated success hiring across software engineering disciplines, including full-stack, embedded systems, firmware, infrastructure, or related technical functions.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and technical talent markets.
  • Experience partnering directly with engineering leaders and supporting technical interview processes.
  • Ability to independently manage full-cycle recruiting activities from sourcing through offer acceptance.
  • Strong full-cycle recruiter with demonstrated success recruiting technical and software engineering talent.
  • Skilled talent sourcer capable of identifying and engaging highly competitive software engineering candidates.
  • Ability to recruit effectively across multiple software domains, including product engineering, embedded systems, firmware, infrastructure, and low-level systems engineering.
  • Trusted business partner who builds credibility with engineering leaders and influences hiring decisions through data and judgment.
  • Highly organized operator capable of managing multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting within robotics, AI, autonomous systems, machine learning, semiconductor, infrastructure software, or other deep-tech environments.
  • Experience supporting both application-level and systems-level engineering organizations.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, operating systems, embedded software, firmware development, or cloud infrastructure technologies.
