Senior Technical Project Manager

ConstructConnect•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

ConstructConnect is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager in its CTO organization to lead complex, cross-functional technology delivery. The role works alongside product leadership within a Product Operating Model, translating product strategy and outcome-based roadmaps into executable, well-governed delivery while preserving the distinction between product’s “what and why” and delivery’s “how and when.” It calls for someone equally capable of running a gated waterfall program and coaching a Scrum or Kanban team, using AI-native tools to reduce planning, reporting, and coordination overhead. The position is hybrid in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, within the Product Development division. Team members living within commuting distance of the Atlanta or Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky offices are expected to work hybrid, with regular in-office presence determined by the team or department. All team members must reside and work in the United States. The role includes frequent sitting, telephone communication, extended computer use, and visual acuity for close-up work. Team members are expected to maintain a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate remote workspace.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical project or program management in software, SaaS, or platform engineering environments.
  • Deep, hands-on delivery experience with waterfall or predictive methods and at least two Agile modalities, including hybrid models.
  • Advanced Jira expertise, including workflow and scheme design, issue hierarchy configuration, JQL, dashboards, and portfolio-level reporting using Jira Plans/Advanced Roadmaps or an equivalent.
  • Practical use of Claude in delivery work and hands-on exposure to Claude Cowork and/or Claude Code; candidates should be prepared to show real examples.
  • Experience working alongside product management in a Product Operating Model or similar product-led structure.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to engage credibly with engineers on architecture, environments, CI/CD, and release management.
  • Track record of presenting to and influencing senior executives.
  • Experience coaching teams and individuals on Agile practices and delivery discipline.
  • Bias for action, including making reversible decisions quickly, moving with imperfect information, and unblocking teams.
  • Executive presence, including calm communication under pressure and early delivery of bad news with recommendations.
  • Coaching mindset that develops others’ capabilities rather than making the role a bottleneck.
  • Ability to learn new tools, domains, and ways of working quickly.
  • Pragmatic approach focused on outcomes rather than methodology purity.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM/CSP, SAFe, or comparable certification.
  • Experience automating Jira reporting or delivery workflows with scripts, APIs, or AI agents.
  • Experience establishing or maturing a PMO, delivery practice, or AI adoption program.
  • Background in construction technology, B2B SaaS, or data and marketplace products.
  • Familiarity with flow metrics such as cycle time, throughput, and WIP, and with outcome-based portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-team technical initiatives from intake and scoping through release and benefits tracking.
  • Select and tailor delivery approaches—including waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile, or hybrid—and explain the rationale to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain integrated plans, dependency maps, RAID logs, and release roadmaps suitable for executive review.
  • Identify risks early, escalate with options, and drive decisions to closure.
  • Work alongside product managers and engineering leads, translating outcome-based roadmaps into sequenced, capacity-aware delivery plans.
  • Surface cross-product dependencies and capacity conflicts to portfolio governance forums.
  • Design and govern Jira project structures, workflows, issue hierarchies, and boards for team execution and portfolio reporting.
  • Maintain JQL, dashboards, and filters that provide leaders with an accurate view of progress, flow, and risk; enforce data hygiene and coach teams on its importance.
  • Use Claude, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code in daily delivery work, including drafting plans and status narratives, synthesizing meeting outputs, analyzing Jira data, and automating repetitive reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for AI tooling to reduce delivery friction, pilot tools with teams, and share repeatable practices across the PMO.
  • Exercise sound judgment in data handling, accuracy checking, and human review of AI-generated outputs.
  • Present program status, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to VP- and C-level audiences.
  • Coach delivery teams, Scrum Masters, and junior project managers on Agile practices, estimation, flow metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate planning events, retrospectives, and steering meetings that result in decisions.
