About The Position

As an IT consulting firm, EVOCS works with clients to understand their needs, identify the right technologies, and deliver solutions that improve performance and support their business objectives. EVOCS is a trusted technology partner to a growing number of organizations and industry leaders, combining technical expertise, business understanding, and a commitment to quality. The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead the delivery of an application rationalization program for a strategic client, involving application discovery, inventory, assessment, disposition analysis, and roadmap development. This role will direct a distributed delivery team, manage the engagement against a statement of work, and serve as the primary client contact. The position is expected to expand into data platform and data governance workstreams. While Denver, CO is preferred, candidates located elsewhere in the United States will be considered.

Requirements

  • Excellent project management experience and skills.
  • 7+ years managing IT or business transformation projects, including current-state assessments, portfolio analysis, or system selection work.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and proficiency in ArchiMate modeling principles, concepts, and notation.
  • Proficient experience with BPMN notation, process modeling principles, and business process documentation.
  • Proficient knowledge of data architecture and data management concepts, including data lakes, data warehouses, data modeling, data integration, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
  • Consulting or professional services experience delivering against fixed-scope engagements with defined deliverables and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to direct technical specialists without needing to do the work yourself.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, including clients who lack documentation, defined ownership, or mature IT practices.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), bilingual or near-native level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is a client-facing role that involves frequent interaction via email, calls, and meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP is nice to have but not required.
  • A degree in business, information systems, or a related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, TOGAF, or a comparable certification.
  • Hands-on experience with an enterprise architecture or application portfolio management platform such as BizzDesign, LeanIX, ServiceNow APM, or Ardoq.
  • Familiarity with application rationalization frameworks such as the TIME model.
  • Based in Denver, CO, or able to overlap consistently with Mountain Time.
  • Prior work in data center, colocation, or other capital-intensive operating environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the engagement plan, scope, schedule, milestones, and budget against a fixed-scope statement of work.
  • Direct the day-to-day work of enterprise architects and analysts across multiple time zones, keeping their outputs aligned rather than overlapping.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops and working sessions with application owners and client architects to collect and validate application and process data.
  • Maintain the core delivery artifacts, including the project plan, RAID log, status reports, and decision records.
  • Report weekly to the client sponsor and EVOCS leadership, and present to steering committee and executive audiences.
  • Review architecture models, process documentation, and all deliverables for quality and consistency before they reach the client.
  • Hold scope steady in an environment with incomplete application documentation and unclear system ownership, and raise change requests when the line moves.
  • Identify follow-on opportunities and support scoping and development of new statements of work.
  • Take on data-focused workstreams as the account expands.

Benefits

  • Pay Range $70 - $80 USD
