About The Position

NorthHill Technology Resources is seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager to support a cutting-edge Federal Program in Mclean, VA. This is a direct-hire role with a growing Federal Integrator that has a strong presence in the Intelligence Community. The role requires an active TS/SCI Clearance and CI Polygraph. This position is primarily onsite in Mclean, VA, with travel to PA every 4-6 weeks. The ideal candidate enjoys working with new technologies, enterprise-leading equipment, and is passionate about designing, deploying, and maintaining development pipelines. This role is critical in building, maintaining, and optimizing the underlying infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. You will join a diverse team of platform engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards for infrastructure development, deployment, and security.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance and CI Polygraph required.
  • Proficiency in different project management frameworks like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Skilled in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to manage change requests effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a rapidly evolving cloud-native landscape.
  • Experience with Kubernetes cluster deployments to support large-scale AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of what it takes to deliver Datacenter as a Service.
  • Experience leading ATO efforts and the processes required to maintain security compliance.
  • Strong background in Linux and infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Networking, Storage).

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with people inside and outside the organization to deliver the highest standards for building, deploying, and securing infrastructure.
  • Navigate project complexity, align it with business goals, and lead a technical team to success.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, define scope, set clear objectives, and manage deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks early on and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee project delivery efforts, ensure delivery timelines are met, and lead the project escalation process.
  • Manage change requests without derailing the project.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with development teams, operations, security, and other stakeholders.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, mentor junior engineers, and lead technical initiatives.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and foster best practices.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Learn new technologies and adapt to a rapidly evolving cloud-native landscape.
  • Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites or data centers.
