The Workday Build & Platform team drives the strategy and go-to-market for Workday’s extensibility and developer platform. Our team focuses on Workday Extend, Workday Build, and emerging innovations such as Agent Builder, enabling customers and partners to build custom applications, automate workflows, and develop AI-powered agents directly on Workday. We work closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to bring new platform capabilities to market and accelerate adoption across the Workday ecosystem. We’re looking for a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager to join the Workday Build & Platform team, driving adoption and growth of Build and platform technologies. This role requires deep familiarity with developer tools, oCIO and developer personas, and AI-assisted development. You will lead strategic product marketing for Workday Build, with a focus on Workday Extend and emerging AI-powered platform capabilities. This includes defining messaging and positioning for custom app development, custom agents, agent-ready APIs, and open platform technologies. You will partner across product, developer relations, and GTM teams to bring these innovations to market and drive adoption of Workday as a platform for building, automating, and extending enterprise workflows. Success in this role will be measured through impact across platform adoption, market awareness, and field effectiveness. Example outcomes include: Adoption & Growth: Drive measurable growth in Workday platform consumption by increasing the number of custom apps, AI agents, and integrations built using Workday Build capabilities and newly launched platform innovations. Market Narrative & Awareness: Strengthen Workday’s position as an open platform by increasing analyst, partner, and customer awareness through thought leadership, analyst engagement, customer advocacy, and PR visibility. GTM Impact: Improve field readiness and effectiveness through clear technical positioning, enablement programs, and assets that empower Sales, Enterprise Architects and Solution Consulting teams to confidently position Workday Build and platform capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and GTM, translating complex platform capabilities into compelling narratives for developers, integrators, and technical decision-makers. It is a high-impact, highly visible position designed for a Technical PMM who can combine technical fluency with strategic marketing and business acumen. You will be responsible for: 1. Technical Positioning & Messaging: Define and articulate Workday Build’s technical value for developers, architects, and IT decision-makers. Develop messaging frameworks, narratives, and collateral that differentiate Build and track adoption and engagement metrics to measure impact. 2. Competitive Intelligence & Persona Insights: Monitor competitors, emerging tools, and developer workflows to identify trends and opportunities. Translate insights into personas, positioning, and strategic recommendations that inform roadmap and GTM decisions. 3. Developer-Focused Enablement & Content Creation: Create high-value technical content (demos, guides, blogs, etc.) that define Workday architecture, accelerate product adoption, and support Sales and Solutions teams in driving awareness for platform capabilities. 4. GTM Strategy & Launch Execution: Lead cross-functional GTM programs for Workday Build tools, partnering with Workday AI, Product, Engineering, and Events teams to drive adoption at DevCon, Workday Rising & other tier 1 events. Track success via adoption, usage, and enablement effectiveness metrics. 5. Customer Voice & Ecosystem Evangelism: Champion Workday Build tools at forums, conferences, webinars, and supporting analyst briefings including analyst survey responses. Gather and surface customer and developer feedback to product and engineering teams. Track engagement, advocacy, and adoption to continuously refine positioning and GTM strategies.
