About The Position

The Senior Platform Specialist is the go-to resource for business users seeking help with advanced projects, changes, issues, and problems within the Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) platform. Lineage is beginning a global rollout of the Blue Yonder TMS platform, and this role will contribute to its deployment and ongoing maintenance, with experience in TM and TMOD and a global perspective. This role combines business analysis, platform expertise, and program/project management. The specialist helps lead the platform rollout and supports the business after launch, bringing TMS expertise, supply-chain logistics knowledge, and the ability to coordinate expertise and collaborate across teams. The role helps shape application and platform strategy and the project portfolio by soliciting demand across business areas and bringing forward innovative technical solutions. The position is remote. The employer is unable to sponsor employment authorization now or in the future.

Requirements

At least 12 years of IT experience.
In-depth knowledge of Blue Yonder TMS SaaS solutions, including implementation or upgrade experience.
In-depth knowledge of TMOD and TM within Blue Yonder.
Strong understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply-chain processes.
Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, situations, and deadlines.
Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements.
Excellent understanding and experience managing business complexity, project interdependencies, and organizational change.
Intellectual curiosity and ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving, including quickly troubleshooting issues in the transportation business area.
Ability to partner with internal and external technical subject-matter experts to identify resolution paths.
Strong understanding of basic systems engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
In-depth understanding of software development lifecycles such as Agile and Waterfall.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a business area.

Responsibilities

Learn core business processes across Lineage’s global trucking markets, along with the systems and manual processes that support them.
Develop and maintain relationships with business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs and influence outcomes.
Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document requirements, and drive solutions.
Evaluate analyses, problem definitions, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions to determine operational feasibility.
Determine platform solutions and configurations by assessing information needs and consulting users, systems flows, data usage, and work processes.
Work with executive and senior leaders to create and maintain an operating plan that supports the strategic vision and defines people, processes, tools, and technology.
Support evaluation of system functionality in existing and proposed applications to ensure solutions are high quality and supportable.
Help design and maintain integrations between the Blue Yonder platform and other standard or strategic global solutions, and evaluate non-standard integration needs.
Manage delivery of configuration and development work that addresses business requirements, and guide the business toward appropriate solutions.
Coordinate testing, documentation, and training with business areas.
Coordinate project resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Help ensure IT systems have appropriate support and maintenance, and participate in major incident management.
Help ensure appropriate licensing agreements for COTS/SaaS applications, cost management, and timely renewals.
Help ensure SOX controls and security protocols are in place for systems within the Redistribution division.
Monitor system performance and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
Keep current with industry trends and advancements in transportation management systems.
