About The Position

This role is for a Senior Technical Lead with a focus on Atlassian administration. The position requires a strong background in aligning IT systems with business processes, developing technical solutions, technical writing, and extensive experience with Atlassian tools. The candidate will be responsible for defining enterprise architecture, documenting infrastructure, and managing Atlassian products at an enterprise level. The role emphasizes collaboration, strategic thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes.
  • At least five (5) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
  • Five (5) years of FTE experience developing technical solutions, including gap analysis, and developing plans for transitioning to target architecture.
  • Five (5) years of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) experience of technical writing.
  • Five (5) years of Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) experience as an administrative-level user of Atlassian tools, including Jira Align, Jira Software, and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering Atlassian products, including Jira Align, at an enterprise level.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian architecture, API, database tables, application logs, and email handlers.
  • Experience with Jira Query Language (JQL), scripting, and automation.
  • Experience with Atlassian migrations, either within the Atlassian ecosystem or to/from external systems.
  • Extensive experience in advanced SQL development, including complex query optimization, stored procedures, indexing strategies, data modeling, and performance tuning across large-scale relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, transform, and analyze data to support business intelligence and operational reporting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, foster collaboration in cross-functional teams, mentor and develop staff, and navigate complex challenges with adaptability, strategic thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Aligning IT systems with organizational business processes.
  • Developing technical solutions, including gap analysis, and creating plans for transitioning to target architecture.
  • Defining policies and principles to guide technology decisions for enterprise architecture, including privacy, security, development standards, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Documenting the 'as is' and 'to be' enterprise architecture infrastructure.
  • Administering Atlassian tools, including Jira Align, Jira Software, and Confluence, at an enterprise level.
  • Developing Jira workflows, customizations, and standardizations to support enterprise-level reporting.
  • Owning, managing, defining, and optimizing standard SaaS tools and processes to drive tool-specific best practices and increased collaboration.
  • Maintaining the scalability, sustainability, and manageability of enterprise Atlassian ecosystems following industry standards and best practices.
  • Extracting, transforming, and analyzing data to support business intelligence and operational reporting.
  • Communicating effectively across diverse audiences, fostering collaboration in cross-functional teams, mentoring and developing staff, and navigating complex challenges.
