About The Position
OneRevel is seeking a Lead AV Field Engineer (Field Engineer 2) to serve as the technical leader for their field operations. This role involves building the future of commercial communication by integrating advanced audio/video distribution, massive video walls, and managed digital signage. The position offers a leadership opportunity to mentor junior staff, guide installation teams, and improve technical standards. The work environment is dynamic, requiring flexibility for project demands and travel, with an assigned company vehicle and specialty tools provided. The Senior Technical Field Engineer will own the on-site execution of advanced commercial AV projects, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex systems, acting as the senior escalation point for the team. They will collaborate with internal departments for smooth operations, maintain quality control, and may serve as an Event Day Operator. This role is crucial for upholding OneRevel's standards of quality, accountability, and professionalism in the field.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant AV field installation, commissioning, or technical systems experience in commercial environments.
- Solid networking understanding.
- Familiarity with CTS, Q-SYS (Level 0/1), Crestron, IPTV/Com3000, Motion Rocket, and HDMI/HDBaseT distribution.
- Ability to safely navigate construction, outdoor, and client-facing environments.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to operate lifts or bucket trucks (when certified).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize without constant guidance.
- Proven track record of training and leading others.
- Must submit to a drug and background check.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical "tip of the spear" for field operations.
- Lead the execution, commissioning, and support of premium commercial AV ecosystems.
- Mentor lower-level field personnel.
- Guide installation teams.
- Elevate technical standards across the board.
- Own the on-site execution of advanced commercial AV projects.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Serve as the senior escalation resource for the team.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain impeccable quality control.
- Occasionally step up as an Event Day Operator to support live client environments.
- Serve as the standard-bearer for OneRevel's quality, accountability, and professionalism in the field.
