About The Position
OneRevel is seeking a Lead AV Field Engineer (Field Engineer 2) to serve as the technical leader for their field operations. This role involves more than just installation; it's about building the future of commercial communication using advanced audio/video distribution, large video walls, and managed digital signage. The position focuses on architecting experiences through advanced IPTV environments, Q-SYS integration, HDMI distribution, and network wiring, leading execution, commissioning, and support of commercial ecosystems. The role offers a leadership opportunity to mentor junior field personnel, guide installation teams, and improve technical standards. The work environment is dynamic, requiring flexibility for project demands and travel, with a company vehicle and specialty tools provided.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant AV field installation, commissioning, or technical systems experience in commercial environments.
- Solid networking understanding.
- Familiarity with CTS, Q-SYS (Level 0/1), Crestron, IPTV/Com3000, Motion Rocket, and HDMI/HDBaseT distribution.
- Ability to safely navigate construction, outdoor, and client-facing environments.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to operate lifts or bucket trucks (when certified).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize without constant guidance.
- Proven track record of training and leading others.
Responsibilities
- Own the on-site execution of advanced commercial AV projects.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex AV systems.
- Serve as the senior escalation resource for the team.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain impeccable quality control.
- Occasionally act as an Event Day Operator to support live client environments.
- Mentor lower-level field personnel.
- Guide installation teams.
- Elevate technical standards across the board.
