About The Position
SKELAR is a Ukrainian venture builder that creates international tech businesses, building strong teams with co-founders to succeed in global markets. The company has a dozen businesses in various niches, from EdTech to marketplaces, many of which are top startups and product companies in Ukraine, ranking high in AppStore, and used by millions. SKELAR businesses have been featured in TechCrunch, Wired, and other global media. With a team of 1000+ specialists, SKELAR is currently seeking a Tech Lead / Full-stack for a new business. This new venture is developing a personality simulator application designed to help individuals overcome the gap between who they are and who they could become. The application transforms personality types into practical exercises, demonstrating how character influences effectiveness and relationships. The role involves joining as the first engineer, a hands-on Full-stack developer, with the ambition to grow into a CTO and co-founder.
Requirements
- Strong skills in backend development and architecture or mobile application development (React Native, Swift, or Flutter)
- Hands-on experience developing and launching mobile applications (React Native or Swift)
- High level of AI fluency in development
- Copilot or similar tools as part of daily workflow
- Experience integrating AI/LLM API (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Ownership mindset – taking full responsibility for what you build, not just your tasks
- Experience with App Store submission and Apple Developer ecosystem
Nice To Haves
- Backend experience with Node.js (other stacks considered, Node in priority)
- Experience with databases
- PostgreSQL or similar relational DB
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Experience building consumer-facing or gamified products
- Interest in psychology, behavioral science, or personality-driven products
Responsibilities
- Build iOS application and web platform end-to-end
- Cover the entire development cycle: architecture, implementation, deploy, and support
- Set up infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS in priority)
- Integrate AI API and third-party services (OpenAI, analytics, payment providers)
- Work closely with design and product to transform ideas into production-ready features
- Daily use of AI development tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to move faster and write better code
- Lay down tech standards, code review processes, and documentation as the team grows
