About The Position

This role is for a Senior Tax Analyst within Akamai's Global Tax Team, which manages global direct and indirect tax activities, tax planning, forecasting, and determining the tax impacts of new transactions and acquisitions. The position is based in Cambridge and Krakow, Poland. The Senior Tax Analyst will prepare the Company's US Federal income tax provision and SEC disclosures, assist with federal and state income tax filing requirements, and foster cross-functional partnerships with Finance teams including Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury. This position reports to the Senior Tax Manager.

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant corporate income tax experience, preferably from public accounting
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all deliverables
  • Possess an excellent understanding of Excel (including Pivot Tables, XLookups, etc.)
  • Communicate proactively and clearly with team members and stakeholders
  • Display excellent organizational skills, with strengths in managing priorities and multiple tasks
  • Show a willingness to continuously learn and grow your income tax accounting and compliance technical knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Preparing/supporting the quarterly/annual US income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including current/deferred tax calculations, performing valuation allowance assessments and uncertain tax position analysis
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax-related disclosures for SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K)
  • Supporting federal income tax compliance including the preparation of federal income tax returns and related workpapers
  • Partnering with accounting, FP&A and treasury to ensure accurate and complete data inputs
  • Contributing to special projects, including process improvements, tax planning initiatives and modeling
  • Leveraging tools such as Alteryx and AI-based solutions (e.g., Gemini) to automate processes and improve efficiency
