About The Position

As a Senior Tax Analyst at Schneider Downs, you will serve as a trusted advisor within the Tax Advisory Services team. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various assigned projects, encompassing the preparation and review of corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns. You will also be involved in tax compliance, research, transaction analysis, and planning. This role offers a supportive learning culture where you will work directly with clients across diverse industries such as manufacturing and distribution, construction, transportation and logistics, automotive, nonprofits, and energy and resources. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of three years of public accounting experience
  • CPA license eligibility
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
  • Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel and Power Point

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted member of the engagement team and provide various tax compliance and advisory services
  • Prepare and review various returns for engagements for a variety of clients across multiple industries from middle market to multinational companies
  • Stay up-to-date on new standards and laws, participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, help to draft IRS responses and address other tax authority inquiries
  • Proactively communicate with engagement team and client on complicated tax matters and specialty tax practices
  • Focus of professional development via coaching and mentoring tailored to each individual, as well as learning and growing from direct on the job coaching and mentoring
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial spirit at a firm that values new ideas and innovation, allowing you to learn and grow quickly, as well as build strong internally and externally
  • Support the growth and development of team members through coaching and mentoring
