Requirements

  • 3 – 6 years prior corporate or partnership tax experience
  • Bachelor Degree required, Accounting, Finance, or Economics major preferred
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740: Accounting for Income Taxes
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or large organization or a combination of both
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Up-C Structure and Tax Receivable Agreements a plus
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude

Responsibilities

  • Support the tax function in managing the Company’s corporate and partnership tax matters worldwide, including U.S. and international tax planning, tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, partner reporting and operational tax issues
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provision calculation and related financial statement disclosure (ASC 740)
  • Prepare forecasts of income tax expense, cash taxes and effective income tax rates to support internal and external reporting functions
  • Work closely with outside advisors on federal, state, local and foreign tax compliance as well as partnership basis calculations and tax receivable agreement calculations
  • Coordinate partner tax reporting process including the calculation of quarterly estimated tax worksheets and annual Form K-1s
  • Research technical accounting issues and disclosure matters
  • Document tax related internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX 404, the requirements of local tax authorities and operational efficiency
  • Manage the miscellaneous indirect tax compliance, such as NYC commercial rent tax, sales and use tax filings
  • Involvement in various special projects and process improvements
