About The Position

We are looking for a high-caliber Leadership Talent Sourcer who will act as a strategic talent advisor and scout for our leadership team. This is not a standard high-volume sourcing role. You will sit at the intersection of executive search, advanced technology, and business development. To be successful, you must have a sales-driven mindset, a genuine passion for emerging technology, and a deep understanding of the highly complex defense contracting (GovCon) and Department of Defense (DoD) ecosystems. You will be responsible for mapping the market, building relationships, and selling our mission to the industry's most sought-after technical and growth leaders. This role is open to a 6-month contract.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years in sourcing or recruiting, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and hiring for Business Development, Capture, Sales, or Account Management roles.
  • Deep understanding of the business development lifecycle (e.g., pipeline development, proposal management, capture strategy) and experience engaging top-tier sales and growth talent.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the unique ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with persuasive, relationship-driven candidates.
  • Proficient in using data-driven approaches to evaluate sourcing effectiveness, map talent markets, and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and other modern sourcing tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding of the unique complexities of Government Business Development (GovCon). You must understand the lifecycle of federal procurement, including the capture management process, proposal phases, and working with military and defense customers.
  • Understanding of the federal procurement process, defense acquisition cycles, or military customer demographics is a major plus.
  • Expertise using Greenhouse, Gem, various AI tools, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Highly self-sufficient with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative in mapping out niche talent pools.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in tackling hard-to-fill requisitions, quickly troubleshooting outreach strategies, and devising innovative sourcing solutions on the fly.
  • Takes full accountability for pipeline health and stays aligned with the business mission. Actively seeks opportunities to enhance hiring team performance.
  • Values continuous learning over being right, embraces honest feedback, and views market feedback as an opportunity for growth and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques, market research, and competitive intelligence to map target companies and uncover passive, high-caliber Business Development, Capture Management, and Sales leaders.
  • Initiate and develop meaningful relationships with sophisticated growth talent through highly tailored messaging, leveraging a deep understanding of our mission and technology.
  • Build and maintain robust pipelines for critical business development roles, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality candidates ready to drive our market capture strategy.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and recruiters to understand specific capture targets, customer profiles (e.g., DoD, federal, commercial), and align sourcing strategies with broader business growth goals.
  • Analyze sourcing metrics, response rates, and market data to refine outreach strategies and optimize talent acquisition workflows for growth roles.
