About The Position

Indotronix is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for their Direct client. This role is responsible for full life cycle recruiting for corporate/exempt roles such as engineers and project managers, including recruiting, screening, and recommending placement of staff using creative sourcing methods. With a greater level of experience, this specialist can manage technical and non-technical exempt professional positions, management positions, and other related responsibilities. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and can serve as a resource to less seasoned Talent Acquisition employees. Experience in the utilities and energy sector is highly preferred but not required. The role is not looking for IT recruiters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Five years' corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management-level exempt positions.
  • 3 years of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the physical address of the office location.

Nice To Haves

  • Utilities and energy sector industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Nuclear Dev/New Gen--exempt level and transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with hiring manager and HR Business Partner to determine staffing needs.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire), and delivers employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Partners with the Sourcing Specialist in order to bring a diverse slate of qualified candidates to the hiring manager.
  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding the recruiting process.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
  • Responsible for ensuring onboarding and new hire orientation processes occur.
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to the industry.
  • Takes the lead in the development of one or more annual Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Suggest and help implement ongoing process improvements to ensure an effective, efficient, and compliant recruiting process.
