About The Position

We are immediately seeking an experienced F-16 Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division and strengthen our Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) Support Team ideally located near one of the following locations: Luke AFB, AZ; Nellis AFB, NV or Shaw AFB, SC. The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class military aviation training, products, and support. As part of ACES, the NEW team provides the latest information on aircraft software features and weapon functionality to warfighters so that they can be successful in combat. The NEW training program is dynamic and challenging. The team delivers between four and six Network Enabled Weapon University (NEW U) courses per year and supports multiple exercises in Europe and the Pacific. Travel locations include all F-16 bases CONUS well as Europe and Asia. A NEW team member should expect to travel frequently in support of warfighter training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of eight years as F-16 Pilot. WIC Graduate preferred
  • Comprehensive technical and functional knowledge of pre and/or post block F-16 weapon and mission systems
  • Travel (30%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.
  • Valid state driver license
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.
  • Current and active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility
  • Eligible for SAP/SAR programs

Responsibilities

  • Participate on a team in the production of Network Enabled Weapon (NEW) training plans, update and deliver a training program for NEW with continued training for instructors and maintenance personnel
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) updating and standardizing training materials, including mission planning, flight training, NEW operations, COMSEC key and custodian interaction, and NEW training modules
  • Conduct professional, in-person training to large and small groups of pilots with varied experience levels
  • Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES
