About The Position

Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems (SIWS) Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Manager to lead our Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Subsystem Sustainment Contract (SSC), Sentinel development SEIT efforts, and new business opportunities for Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) out of our Ogden, UT location. Specifically, the responsibilities are to support and align sustaining engineering and development efforts with SDS-UT program related system engineering management processes, as well as drive efforts to integrate Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) system engineering processes and tool sets. The overall vision of the SDS SSC and Development SEIT manager includes ensuring our system engineering processes and staff are capable to meet sustainment, modernization, and mission requirements, safeguarding the land-based leg of the nuclear triad and providing test support to other mission partners where available. This position provides oversight of first line related system engineering manager(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10 years of experience working with or supporting SEIT sustainment and development efforts
  • 10 years of experience with or equivalent to the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience at managing and leading engineering teams
  • 5 years of experience in using and applying MBSE/MSOSA/DESE tools on development and sustaining engineering efforts
  • In-depth knowledge of current and historical ICBM weapon system performance and development requirements: SRA, WSAM, -128C weapon system specification, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong RCCA and Risk Management skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams
  • Strong experience in program and project management
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technological landscapes and integrate new advancements
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and upholding industry standards

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow SDS SEIT system engineering tools and staff capabilities
  • Architect and drive efforts to integrate modern system engineering tools and methods to align and connect guidance, propulsion, and other SSC related efforts under the SDS-UT organization
  • Support the Minuteman III Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) and model integration efforts with the other SSCs, the USAF, and the Integration Support Contractor (ISC) to maintain and connect SDS-UT efforts with the larger Minuteman Weapon System Architecture Model (WSAM)
  • SEIT oversight and leadership of approximately 50 engineers: systems, test and evaluation, engineering managers, lab managers, and specialty engineering staff to align and grow personnel skills with current and future needs
  • Support proposal and growth opportunities for the SDS-UT site to include life extension related solution development and proposal development
  • Attend and present at technical conferences and requested meetings at DoD locations in support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)
