About The Position

DeKind Computer Consultants is a family-owned and operated managed service provider that has been in business since 2001. The company provides proactive technology solutions to help clients work more effectively and prevent technology interruptions through its “Total Care” solution. The Senior Systems Engineer provides IT infrastructure field support at customer facilities around Elk Grove, Illinois. The role is performed entirely on-site and includes substantial Intune work, end-user support, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of computer systems and peripherals. The position requires managing multiple tasks and deadlines and working effectively in stressful situations. Client sites are located throughout the Chicago suburbs, and reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience providing IT infrastructure field support.
Heavy Intune experience.
Strong knowledge of business LAN and WAN setups, TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
Desktop support and PC break/fix skills, including administration of Windows OS and Windows Server OS.
Experience with anti-malware and antivirus software.
Experience with hypervisors, including Hyper-V and VMware.
Strong O365 experience.
Good written and oral communication skills with clients and management, as well as good people skills.
Ability to lift or move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required skills include multitasking, desktop support, server support, malware removal, networking, Active Directory, Exchange, ERP, help desk, and organization.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Provide IT infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues to the satisfaction of end users.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, printers, laptops, computer peripherals, and desktop applications.
Troubleshoot system and network issues using deductive reasoning.
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines and complete work on time.
Function effectively in stressful environments and situations.
Perform work on-site at customer facilities.
