Senior Systems Engineer
About The Position
Lentech is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer. This role applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The engineer will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. This role also involves communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288. These process areas include Technical, Project, Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling), and Agreement Process Areas.
Requirements
- Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD
- 20 years as a Systems Engineer
- High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
- Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience
- PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
Nice To Haves
- Cloud Architecture/ Cloud Engineer/ Platform Engineering (especially in AWS)
- AI/ML system design and implementation
- High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring)
- Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps
- Experience with Amazon SageMaker is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholder groups, ability to proactively engage with these groups to understand requirements and inform system architecture decisions
- System security and networking (particularly the implementation of system security on classified systems)
- Data engineering and data lifecycle management

- Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
- Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.
