Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to support an innovative program office. In this position, you will provide project engineering and subject matter expertise in support of modified Virginia Subsea and Seabed Warfare (Mod VA SSW) Mission Systems efforts. Tasking will include providing technical leadership and oversight for requirements, systems engineering, design reviews, integration and testing, and the design, development, and fielding of system subcomponents and capabilities. The successful candidate will coordinate with technical SMEs and government and industry stakeholders, take ownership of assigned tasks, proactively develop decision-quality briefings, and effectively represent Government Lead operational intent across working groups and cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering with expertise in submarine systems, mission electronics, or similar domains.
  • Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum) and their application in large-scale defense projects.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. RMF, Zero Trust Architecture).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Secret Clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project engineering and subject matter expertise in support of modified Virginia Subsea and Seabed Warfare (Mod VA SSW) Mission Systems efforts.
