About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) to join the team in Tukwila, WA. This position will focus on system architecture, requirements, interfaces, analyses, and demonstrations primarily supporting PW-MS&B programs. The role involves supporting the lifecycle and maturation of design concepts and demonstrations through systems engineering analysis, including requirements reviews, decomposition, verification, and validation. The individual will be responsible for providing design, development, and risk assessments for Air/Space integration demonstration efforts. This role requires close collaboration with partner organizations such as JWI and MS&B. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate among demonstration participants to facilitate planning, documentation, execution, and final reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience involving the following: system architecture development, system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis or verification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • Experience in a role with or supporting BCA, BDS, BR&T, Government Operation and/or Boeing International
  • Experience in project management and/or cost account management using Earned Value Management techniques.
  • Prior history working in a classified environment

Responsibilities

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically depending on business needs.
