About The Position

Join Esri’s Professional Services team to lead the deployment, optimization, and modernization of mission-critical ArcGIS Enterprise environments supporting Defense and Intelligence customers. The role addresses complex technical challenges across enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, databases, automation, high availability, and ArcGIS. As a senior technical resource, you will guide customers through architecture and deployment decisions, troubleshoot complex production environments, influence technical strategy, and mentor other engineers. Esri offers relocation assistance for relocating to the Vienna, Virginia area.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities.
• Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or comparable IT systems, including desktop, server, and online systems.
• Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C#.
• Familiarity with network concepts and topics such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing.
• Experience with at least one RDBMS, including writing SQL queries, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• U.S. citizenship and an active or current (within two years of active) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
• One or more industry-standard IT certifications, such as Esri, Microsoft, or Amazon certifications.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime, and their associated APIs or interfaces.
• Cloud-based system operations (SysOps) experience.
