Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Orion Senior Systems Engineer. Be a part of the Artemis and Orion teams taking astronauts to the Moon and beyond. As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Orion program, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of hardware and software integration activities for the Denver Vehicle Management Computer (VMC) Test Bench (VTB), Support Software Development Lab (SSDL), and Orion Utility Network Lab (OUNL) in support of Artemis III and future missions. Responsible for ensuring the Denver Test Labs are integrated, maintained and operational. The candidate ideally has a background in system and/or subsystem test and integration. Willing/able to support test shifts in the Orion Test Labs with occasional evening and weekend shift assignments.

Requirements

  • B.S in Engineering or related degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in integrated avionics and software test environment
  • Demonstrated experience in reading and working to mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
  • Willing to work extended hours, including 2nd shifts and weekends, in support of test activities
  • US Citizen required to perform this task

Nice To Haves

  • Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC) with test engineering experience using Automation Framework
  • Familiarity with Orion spacecraft architecture, subsystems and Orion Flight Software architecture
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules
  • Works effectively independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities
