Senior Systems Engineer
About The Position
MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. This role will focus on supporting the development of state-of-the-art Integrated Circuits (IC) for Cable and Communication infrastructure and consumer applications. The engineer will be actively involved with advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems, sophisticated modem system technology, and firmware running on embedded microcontrollers. A key part of the role involves understanding system requirements to define and develop design verification test plans and test programs for new IC devices. Additionally, the position supports the development of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), test programs, and test criteria for production testing, as well as providing hardware and software customer support.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Digital Communications theory, DSP algorithms, and OFDM modulation/demodulation techniques
- Experience in C / Matlab or similar
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (PYTHON, PERL, TCL) required
- Experience in lab tests, measurement, and device issue debugging
- Self-motivated, able to communicate effectively, and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 3 years of experience, or MS
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of analog and RF system principles is a plus
- Python expertise is a plus
- experience in high-speed testing (SERDES) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and VNA is a plus
- Board-level design and analysis experience are a plus
Responsibilities
