About The Position

Brooks is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to be part of our growing Automation Engineering team, based in Chelmsford, MA. This role involves designing architecture for new Vacuum SEMI platforms, possessing in-depth knowledge of the product line and application, and being multi-disciplinary. The engineer will translate customer needs into a Brooks product, act as a mentor to all engineers, develop unique technical solutions, and lead others to seek better ways of doing things. The role also emphasizes building an accountable and collaborative culture, fostering openness and candid dialogue, encouraging accountability and responsibility, building effective working relationships, and promoting partnership and communication throughout the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor/Master’s degree in related engineering discipline
10-15 years of relevant experience in vacuum systems and design within the semiconductor/automation industry.

Preference to 3D Modeling Skills (Creo)

Responsibilities

Assumes a high level of complex and/or critical assignments within the Systems Product Engineering team
Project leadership for system/companywide projects requiring cross organizational teams
Plans/manages integration and implementation of new technologies
Recognized as an internal authority and expert in the discipline and related fields, and is sought after as such
Applies advanced concepts and contributes to advancing company products and processes to achieve organizational objectives in a creative and effective manner.
Is assigned to unique and complex problems due to the knowledge of advanced principles and techniques
Interacts, presents to and influences all levels of management
Customer Interactions and International Travel may be expected.
