About The Position

Qualis, LLC is looking for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to work in the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Missile Warning (MW) mission area. Our team is dedicated to advancing the SDA and MW missions through focused and innovative research and engineering. We are on the cutting edge of Deep Space surveillance radar technology and radar hardware solutions to enhance mission capabilities. Our engineers are willing and expected to dive deep into developing solutions to the most challenging technical problems. The systems engineer will be a team member on an Agile Modeling and Simulation development team building high fidelity SDA radar models.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Security Clearance, preferably a Top Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant work experience (4 years with a master’s degree)
Experience supporting defense, aerospace, space, radar, communications, missile, sensor, or other complex systems.
Experience working with integrated hardware and software systems.
Experience with requirements management and traceability tools.
Experience supporting formal engineering or design reviews.
Experience with system integration, test, verification, and validation.
Familiarity with configuration management and technical baseline management.
Experience working with government customers including the USAF and USSF
Experience in the Space Domain Awareness mission area

Responsibilities

Perform technical planning for total systems.
Perform system integration activities.
Perform system verification and validation and document acceptance test results, discrepancies, and dispositions.
Conduct cost analyses.
Conduct risk analyses.
Conduct supportability analyses.
Conduct system effectiveness analyses.
Perform systems engineering analyses throughout the total system lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Convert customer or product requirements into total system solutions.
Evaluate system solutions while acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis.
Perform timeline analysis.
Conduct detailed trade studies.
Perform requirements allocation and maintain traceability through design, implementation, and verification evidence.
Perform interface definition studies.
Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Maintain technical baselines and configuration records, coordinate approved changes, and support as-built system and operator documentation.
